The Door Position Transmitter mounted to the garage door is intended to be oriented vertically when the door is in the closed position. When the door is opened, the top of the Transmitter should tilt toward you at least 45°.
Set the house code the same on the Transmitter, Vehicle Interface Module and the Status Indicator.
To train the Vehicle Interface Module (the one with the antenna) to recognize a Transmitter for door #1, set the unit dial to 1, slide the Run/Install switch to Install and press the Test button on the Transmitter for door#1. The Vehicle Interface Module should beep once. If it does not, you may need to press the recessed Code button on the Transmitter before trying again.
To train for door #2, turn the unit dial to 2 and repeat the procedure. The confirmation sound will be a pair of beeps. For door #3, turn the unit dial to 3 and perform the same procedure. The confirmation sound will be a series of three beeps.
When done training, return the Run/Install switch to Run and return the unit dial to position 1.
To clear all settings, unplug the Vehicle Interface Module, slide the Run/Install switch to Install and plug in the module back into the 120V receptable.
Use Thinking Home to create one Garage Door Indicator device for each of the monitored garage doors.
Note: If multiple doors change at the same time (within a second), their Transmitter signals may not be successfully received by the Vehicle Interface Module.
